Trainee of the Year Awards

These Awards acknowledge outstanding achievement and ongoing commitment by trainees in the Australian resources industry.

• Coal Trainee of the Year
• Metalliferous Trainee of the Year
• Extractive Trainee of the Year
• Drilling Trainee of the Year
• Processing Trainee of the Year

Individual Award for Excellence in Training

This Award acknowledges the outstanding achievement and an ongoing commitment by those involved in all aspects of the delivery of training to the Australian resources industry. This category is open to all industry trainers and assessors as well as training administrators and coordinators.

Company Awards

These Awards acknowledge the outstanding achievement and an ongoing commitment of Registered Training Organisations and resources companies to the development and delivery of training within the Australian industry.

• Leading Training Processes and Practices of the Year – Registered Training Organisation
• Leading Training Processes and Practices of the Year – Small-Medium Company 
(Less than 500 full time** equivalent employees across the entire organisation)
• Leading Training Processes and Practices of the Year – Medium-Large Company 
(500 or more full time** equivalent employees across the entire organisation)

Innovation Awards

These important Awards recognise innovation in workforce development and workforce planning across the Australian resources industry. In association with the outcomes of the research undertaken by the Skills Centre in 2007 to develop the Mining Industry Skills Strategy, this year we are calling for nominations for two Innovation Awards:
